Why does Barney Frank and Chris Dodd want to steal money from the bailout for the radical left ACORN ?

The bail out money if passed is NOT to be used for Obama’s pet rock ACORN, Obama was an attorney for them, a radical left wing group.
Regardless, House Republicans are saying that unless the possibility of ACORN seeing any money from this bailout is eliminated, there’s no deal. “Doling out favors to ACORN and other liberal special interest groups are a non-starter for House Republicans,” said Behner spokesman Kevin Smith. “If Rep. Frank wants to keep ACORN in the bill he can secure the necessary Democratic votes for passage because he’ll need every one of them.”
Acorn, one of America’s most militant left-wing “community activist groups,” is spending $16 million this year to register Democrats to vote in November. In the past several years, Acorn’s voter registration programs have come under investigation in Ohio, Colorado, Michigan, Missouri and Washington, while several of their employees have been convicted of voter fraud.
Along with other potential recipients of these funds, including the National Council of La Raza and the Urban League, Acorn has promoted laws like the Community Reinvestment Act, which laid the foundation for the house of cards built out of subprime loans. Thus, we’d be funneling more cash to the groups that helped create the lending mess in the first place.

He added, “The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.”

Apparently republicans have agreed to the new write up of the bill. They are voting on it tomorrow. Lets hope and pray there is no ACORN earmarks in there. If there is I believe it may be time for a revolution. That organization is dirty and has had its wrist slapped countless times for misusing taxpayer funds and most recently voter registration fraud.

Fox News has a copy of the draft proposal that Congress will be voting on Monday. I perused the bill and did not see where any funds were allocated for any of these organizations.

ACORN WAS NEVER A PART OF THE BILL……
After several days of rage from conservative activists regarding a provision in the bailout bill that would send some of the profits from the sale of distressed assets the goverment buys into an affordable housing trust fund, congressional negotiators have removed section 105(d) of the bailout proposal, according to aides on both side.
ACORN, a Democratic ally, was not specifically directed any funds in the previous proposal, but money that went to state and local governments could then have been divvied out to the organization, which the GOP said was a deal breaker. Fevered opposition to the provision had become a viral sensation.
Barney Frank is a traitor to all Americans I hope they kick him out.
ACORN, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd are the CAUSE of the problem in the first place! They intimidated legitimate lenders with cries of “racism” to grant loans to unqualified borrowers, without requiring that they supply the normal documentation to show they had the ability to pay.
They did this by passing a bill in 1992 that required Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to back up those loans. THAT is the cause of the problem in the first place!
Now we expect these two men to be trusted with a solution to a problem that they created! I can’t believe the American people are so stupid as to fall for this!!!!
Edit: I can’t believe some of the responses here! Don’t these people research anything? There is no way this can be put on the Republicans. From beginning to end, this has been a Democrat Party fiasco. They created it, they ignored the SCREAMS of Republicans (particularly McCain) to investigate the loans that FM & FM were backing. Instead of addressing this years ago, the D’s called the lending institutions that balked at bad loans “racist”. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid! It is rotting your brains!!

After Seeing this ACORN mentioned more than once, I decided I’d better read what is out there and as I suspected it was no more credible that an answer on Y/A. a bunch of “journalist” that hates Obama throwing out accusations knowing the the mentally challenged would desperately take this ball and run with it. This, as with all the Previous Lies, will come and go and it will be the but of jokes for the intellectual and fuel for the Bigots fire, but nothing more.
