How can I assure I get his income tax refund? Do I need to file paperwork with the Attorney General’s office of Child support or what? I am in Texas and so is he.

Hope this helps.
in order for you to get his income tax for back owed child support he has to file a tax return…. if he doesn’t file a return then you cant get his income tax until he does…
if he does file an income tax return then sooner or later you will receive his income tax check as back child support….also if you have remarried and your new hubbie has to pay child support for other children when you file your income tax return let your tax people know that you would like to get your part of the refund back if you have worked yourself because if your new hubby is in arears of child support they will take all of the refund as a joint return and you wont get yours… so make sure you tell your tax person about it.
